Brett Roneberg and the Cougars fell one win short of reaching the Midwest League finals, as Burlington's Eric Battersby hit four home runs in the deciding game of the best-of-three series.

Eric Battersby hit four home runs and drove in six to power the Burlington Bees to a 9-6 victory Monday night over the Kane County Cougars in the third and deciding game of their Midwest League second-round playoff series in Geneva.

The Bees, a White Sox Class A affiliate, now will face the Wisconson Timber Rattlers in the best-of-five championship series starting Tuesday night in Appleton, Wis.
