The first one is "Very Dramatic" !! !!
This area gets zillions of litres of water
Why has the lawn / drain gone like this ??
As you can see, I got the sprinkler going
Plus I am going to handwater along the drain and fence later today
I reckon it will bounce back ... just hoping it's quick !!
PS - the "Eaten Tree" is fighting back ... still looks good !!

Good Morning To You
Attached are Ten Photos of Our Lawn
TURF = "Zoysia Matrella" --- "Shade Tuff"
This turf was laid during late June, and we live in Trinity Beach, Cairns
Parts are beautiful and lush and green
But we are very concerned, and very disappointed, at how some areas of the grass are looking
We were advised to "keep lots of water going" and this was done and is ongoing
However, patches all over appear to be dead or dying as you can see in these photos
Can you please give us some advice on what to do to get this lawn back and growing like it should ??

No, all came through well
The turf is dry
It hasn't put down a deep strong root system as yet
That can take many weeks
All the established turf in the area is very dry already, and it has been there years
Soaker hose for an hour a day, preferably in the hot part of the day

We have been very vigilant with the water
Using sprinklers almost every day along with lots of hand-watering
We appreciate your comments - BUT - hope you don't mind this note below
There Are Another Two Photos Attached
These show the lush green grass ... spoilt by the dying bits !!
This is also evident in the ten shots Sharon sent yesterday
All these areas get exactly the same amount of water
You would have seen how the dying bits are "Long Strips Along With Full Pieces Of Turf" !!
And we ask why is this happening !! ... ... are they just "rotting" for some reason ??
Is it reasonable to ask if someone from Tropical Lawns could come and look at our front yard ??
And give us some advice on what can be done ??

I am happy to help and would be keen to look in if I couldn't see what has gone on
At some stage in the first week or so, the grass did not get enough water
Fortunately it is not buffalo or it would be dead
Zoysia has a very strong 'rhizome system' to recover from
Albeit slowly ... unfortunately it will take a little patience
ust give the brown bits a daily drink and check that the roots are taking to the soil
If you spread some Dynamic Lifter and water in, it will speed recovery

This lawn was "suffering" a bit so I let it run for Fifty Minutes

Also included are two shots of the "Excavator Machine" ( Profiler ) that's doing all the work !!
Profiling (also known as cold milling or pavement milling) involves the removal or partial removal
of the surface area for a paved area such as a road, bridge or car park
As well as preparing an area to be resurfaced,
profiling allows the material removed to be recycled and re-used in repairing the surface
