Thursday 12th September 2013 Our bougainvillea has now been repotted and new buds are starting to form

Sunday 2nd February 2014 The plant did not like being repotted !! ... but it is now starting to shoot and grow once more

February 2014 through to Wednesday 1st October 2014 During this time the plant really struggled, and Sharon and I are not very good gardeners so we didn't know what to do
All the new growth shown above disappeared !! ... the plant was left with just lots of woody stems and the occasional new leaf or two

Sunday 5th October 2014 We came out for Sunday morning coffee on the patio ... and spotted this !!

A new Flower was forming ... the first one for months and months ... could not believe it !!

Saturday 11th October 2014 Here it is again ... and it's a Double Flower !!

Thursday 16th October 2014 As well as the flower, there was also lots of bits of new growth
Anne Henderson, the Manager of our Unit / Resort Complex offered to help us out
She pruned it back, gave it a dose of pellet fertiliser, and sprayed it for pests and diseases
and this is the 'white' colour that can be seen on the flower and leaves

Wait Now ... Just Time ... and hopefully we'll soon have a beautiful display for Tanya Mary !!

Monday 20th October 2014 The stamens on the front flower are now open with the second one almost ready
It's a shame about the 'white' from the spraying ... it was necessary and hopefully there will be hundreds more anyway !!

In the seven months since the shots above,
there has been lots of growth ... but not a single flower !!

Then it started to 'fail'
and even though it does have new growth,
the plant was not looking too good !!

With the help of our neighbour Barry,
it was replanted into a larger pot and given a good dose of fertiliser

Will see how it goes now !!

Struggling and struggling ... leaves going yellow and falling off ...

... so it was pruned right back ... "!! let's start again !!"

Thursday 12th November 2015 Less than a month later ... and look at it !! It is also now receiving a regular dose of Thrive Liquid Fertiliser

Sunday 22nd November 2015 As can be seen in these two shots, some of the new branches have been trimmed back We hope to make it a "bougainvillea bush" and not let it grow too wild ... and take over the patio !!

Monday 30th November 2015 Lots and lots of growth ... even where it was pruned just eight days ago BUT ... one of the branches is being let grow ... just to see what happens !! ... it is now 1.10 metres tall !!

Tuesday 5th January 2016 As you can see in the shot below, the bougainvillea appears to be growing quite well However, some of the leaves have become 'very spotted'
plus the new growth hasn't got that 'lush green look' that is shown in the photos above

The only solution we could think of was to again give it a pruning which has now been done It is still receiving a regular dose of Thrive Liquid Fertiliser
