I have just caught up on the sentencing of Tanya’s murderer
As like all your friends and community, I am so disappointed
for you all
The sentencing is so wrong on so many levels that it is heartbreakingly
unbelievable
I am speechless
How can we educate our young drivers to be respectful of the
law and to be respectful of others in their decision making,
when alcohol and drugs and the judicial system gives them such
an easy out in life !!

Really appreciate this, Mary, for taking the time to write and

We agree with everything you mentioned ... especially your description
as the defendant being classed as a "murderer"
Just before the "so called sentence" was handed down,
the judge determined that alcohol did play a part
He went on to say that the driver was aware that he should not
be driving ... he had been seen swerving over the road
AT THAT POINT we truly belive that the case should have been
adjourned and the charges increased to "murder"
All of the proceedings since May last year have been "a
bit of a farce"
All of it seems to be designed to protect the guilty party without
too much consideration given to the victim
Tanya has not had justice ... but I have promised her she will
