Rod and Sue Roneberg
Hi Geoff and Sharon
Not long now ... I'm not sure how you get through waiting for
this ruling
We both hope that you get the outcome that you need
You will be in our thoughts
Note from Geoff
Hey, you two, thanks for your thoughts and wishes
All the best
From Us Up Here
Kelly Richardson
Hi Geoff and Sharon
Thank you kindly for emailing me to let me know the sentencing
date ... I appreciate it so much
I desperately hope the 22nd May delivers in the way it should
... a proper punishment reflecting such a devastating crime
I, myself, would love to see nothing less than the bastard rot
in hell ... don't we all
Keeping you all in my thoughts, and please pass on my regards
to Brett and Kahlia ... they have not left my thoughts the past
eleven months either
Note from Geoff
Thanks for your thoughts and wishes
May is becoming a month that is always going to be hard to get
through
Our best to you and you family ... we think and speak of you
often
Jess Shuttleworth
Hi Sharon
I will be in Cairns for the sentence
Tammie Thornton
I'll be there
Ive got the day off to support you guys
Melissa Akmentins
Hey Sharon
Huge hugs to you and Geoff, Brett and Kahlia
I will be there at sentencing, and I truly thank you for allowing
us to be part of such a personal event
Any thing you need in the mean time, just let us know
Please take care of yourselves
Note from Sharon
Thank you, Melissa
The support from Tanya's friends has been wonderful
For us as her parents we are thrilled that people will take the
time to stand with us and Tanya
We are doing our best to take care of ourselves
May is going to be a tough month
Matt O'Connor
Hi Sharon, and I'd like to attend next Thursday
Looking forward to meeting you and Geoff in person
Note from Sharon
Hi Matt, and we look forward to meeting you too
Thanks so much for your support
Anne Kippin
If I can possibly make it I will
Love to you all
Andria Rowe
Hi Sharon, and I hope you are having a nice break from work and
that the long weekend has been a welcome rest
Just a note to let you know that I intend to be there for sentencing
on 22nd May
I think about My Darling Friend and Your Beloved Daughter every
day still, and miss her more than I thought would be possible
I cannot (just CANNOT) imagine your pain
Mine is nearly unbearable, so for you to live with yours makes
you an unbelievably strong woman
I think of you all often, and hope that Geoff is doing okay too
Note from Sharon
Hi Andria, and it is really nice to hear from you and I hope
you too are enjoying the Easter Break
Thank you for coming to the sentencing ... it's terrible to even
be talking about such a thing isn't it ??
Missing Tanya is becoming the normal for us ... just the way
it is ... living with our pain is the only option
Giving in to our despair would upset Tanya I think
Having said that, crying long and loud in the shower seems to
help me a little ... I hate so much that she is not here
Geoff is still and always will be so very sad and so very angry
See you
Simone Roneberg
Just hope he gets what he deserves
What does your lawyer say ??
How long do you think he will go to jail and pay for his sins
??
Love you both and I think of her every day ... and still asking
myself why, why, why ??
Love to Brett
Hoping for justice for her
Zoe Walpole
I think when he gets his sentence it will be horrific
And it won't be justice for the life Tanya was living and could
have had
Collette wants to be there if she can ... and mum and dad will
be there
Note from Sharon
I believe you may be right
It is kind of them to want to be there for us
Note from Zoe
Everyone that can be there will no doubt turn up
I'm hoping he comes to court and gets trampled to death by an
irate crowd ... now that would be true justice !!
Eye for an eye
Note from Sharon
I'll tell Geoff the plan !!
Note from Zoe
Makes me angry knowing he won't serve any time to justify killing
Tanya
He will live with the guilt ... but he will live his life eventually
... right there isn't fair !!
I feel sick thinking about it
Note from Sharon
Yep it's not fair ... it's wrong and I hate it
Mary Surman
Dear Geoff
I am so very sorry to know that your daughter was so very suddenly
and cruelly taken from you
I pray that earthly justice prevails and that you know in your
heart that your loving daughter watches over you each and every
day
I do not know you, but my heart breaks for you
My son plays basketball in Adelaide for Norwood Flames
Already near tears, I was overwhelmed when reading some of Tanyas
tributes, especially from Basketball Australia
In particular, the paragraph about the U16 National State Championships
in Tamworth ... HERE
and HERE
We were there as my son was a member of the South Australian
Metro Team
How entwined our lives may have been had Erick not been lost
to the war ... HERE
Stay strong and may your wonderful memories and love of Tanya
shine brightly at the most difficult of moments
Blessings and warm regards
Note from Sharon
Hi Mary
It is lovely to hear from you
I have always had a soft spot for Eric Lipton and wondered what
happened to him ... people die too young as we well know
Thank you for you kind words about Tanya ... we miss her so much
She loved being the Taipans statistician and was very excited
to receive her Level 3 National Accreditation
You probably saw her down there in Tamworth with no idea you
may have been "almost related" under different circumstances
!!
Next month will be difficult and sad ... we get through each
day as best we can
Jim Mackail
Hope all goes well tomorrow and that bastard gets what is coming
to him
Note from Sharon
Thanks, Jim, but it is unlikely ... although we have everything
crossed
Liv Cole
Sending my love to you guys
Note from Sharon
Thanks, Liv ... we have had lots of support from Tanya's friends
Note from Liv
I'm here for absolutely anything
Michelle Veltheim
Morning Geoff and Sharon
Today is going to be hard and emotional for everyone involved
I will be thinking of you
Stay strong
Note from Geoff
Hi Michelle
Thanks for your thoughts ... it is going to be an sad awful heartbreaking
day
We hope more than anything that Tanya's Life is respected and
she is given the Justice she deserves
We went to The Plaque last night to say 'hello'
Your Flowers are still bright and beautiful ... but the note
is a bit soggy !!
Have a look at this link ... HERE
Fay Parsons
Sharon ... all the best for tomorrow and I hope justice is done
Will be thinking of you all
Note from Sharon
Thank you, Fay |
