A FEW HUNDRED METRES TO GO

Looking at the above photo of the Finish Line,
all the runners entered The Esplanade and then ran down the lefthand side track as shown
They turned at the top and then came back on the righthand side to finish under The Arch
Brett and I were standing near the metal barricades on the left of the shot
Sharon turned the corner with just a few hundred metres to go and spotted us
Both she and Kahlia gave Brett a 'high five' and then Sharon ran at me for a hug
It was "so-sad-but-something-special" ... and she really mucked up the filming as you'll see !!

In the following two videos, there is a very nice 'voice over'
from the race announcer which includes Sharon's name and
the fact that the Marathon was being done "For Tanya"

There is also a query of who is running with Sharon !!
Brett was all set to run but the Third Game of the
Cairns Baseball League Final Series was being played at
2.00pm so Kahlia used his number and ran in his place
