We are now the 'Cairns Mail Acceptance
Centre'
and the front door is open from 2.00pm to 5.00pm daily for customers
with charge accounts
They just lodge their mail at the counter ... we call it "dump
and run"
We still operate the 'Mail Collection and Delivery'
and have five courier drivers
All the stock has been cleared out
and there will eventually be structural changes which will incorporate
the Delivery Centre next door
This has been a big change after fifteen years !!
We put the black plastic on the windows to discourage customers
from trying to come in
It backfired a little because it can't be seen from the outside
!!
At least we can't see people trying to work out what is going
on
Eventually they read the notice explaining what has happened
