The
'OLD' Airconditioner
This machine was in the unit when Tanya
purchased it on Monday 21st May 2007
It did work for a very short time ...
but had a habit of blowing the safety switch
During August 2008, she was thinking
of repairing or replacing it and had it checked out
It was "dead" ... and also rusting out in most of the
pipes and connections
The quote for a new one was a bit much
for her at the time
so for the last couple of years it has just hung on the wall ...
doing nothing !!
And out came the fans in the hot and
humid weather ... moved the air but didn't cool it
Tanya even borrowed a portable model but this was not really successful
as she had to sit right in front of it for any benefit
When this new quote was done, it was
found that the power board in the unit was not up to today's standards
and this is also being replaced with a range of safety switches
instead of the ceramic fuses
