The Swimming Pool

The Concrete Pour / Spray ... Page #01

fifteen photos

Friday 14th October 2011

Tarps are being hung around the pool area to protect the house walls from any overspray ...

... and now everything is ready to go

!!-Underway-!!

The larger dark hose is for the concrete and the yellow hose has compressed air

and the timber screens were used when the top of the pool surrounds were being sprayed ...

... and here you can see them in use ...

... and it is not a clean or an easy job !!

.

The concrete is sprayed from the side, starting at the bottom and building up to the top section

The shot below also shows that within a few minutes the concrete is being levelled and screeded

A very interesting operation to watch ... everybody knew their jobs and when to do them

Here is where it is coming from

There were three deliveries of concrete over an approximate three hour period

The top is cut to the required width and in the background, Richard is screeding the excess off the walls

The concrete around the pool light is cleared away as the wall is finished off

The pool entrance, seats and steps begin to take shape

A good shot showing how the concrete is built up

Here is the skimmer box ...

... and now it is gone
