Levelling and Setting Out the Pool Area

In preparation for the work ahead,
Richard from RLO Pool Constructions has now marked out the pool
area
In this shot, you can see the limit
of the pool surrounds, the pool 'entrance' with two steps and
a full width shallow ledge
Doesn't look very big, does it ??
... well, just wait a day or two !!

The work is underway and this shot
shows where the outer edge of the tiled pool surrounds will be
...
... and the next two shots show
the tiled area continuing around and leading to the pool gate
The rubbish is being carted away
These profiles, which are an 'invention'
by Richard, will be in lots of photos from now on
Below you will see that they have
been positioned in every corner and along each line of the pool
and then, using a laser level, each one is then set to the required
height
In this close up, there are various
notches in the top sliding bar and these indicate the excavation
limit,
the steel reinforcing outer edge, the finished with of the concrete,
the width of the pool edge, etc, etc
Amazing ... set at the start, and
then string lines used as the pool construction progresses

NOTE - the laser level is positioned
in the corner of the house and is not included in this shot
The profiles are now all in place
and they are offset away from the 'work area' ... that is, the
hole in the ground !!
