Waiting for the slab to dry so it can be worked and finished

Below is a shot looking out the door leading off Brett's Memorabilia Room ...

... and this one is taken from the Master Bedroom door

These swallows
and their 'nuisance' mud nests were
mentioned on THIS and THIS page

.

They didn't seem to be too bothered
about all the activity going on

.

They are probably quite pleased that
their area is getting a tidy up
and just went about the business
of building their own homes !!

Stakes are being taken out and the timber was given a 'bang' to stop it sticking to the concrete as it dried

Waiting and Screeding

Richard thought it might be dry enough so the 'helicopter' was started up

.

However, it was still too wet ... more waiting !!

Finally, after a few hours, the final touches could begin

.

The entire surface was then broomed ...

... and the boxing was removed and the edges were cleaned and tidied up
