thirteen photos

Wednesday 21st September 2011

Work has finished for the day

The sand has been packed around the straight lengths of pipes but all corners and new connections must be left exposed
so the Inspector from the Cairns City Council can check out and sign off on the work

After this, the trench can be backfilled

The pipe showing in the bottom-middle of this photo is an inspection point for the sewerage line

The other three pipes were completed today and will be stormwater 'pits'
These have been placed at strategic points around the pool area
and are designed to stop any run off going into the pool or across the surrounding paving, etc

The 'pit' in the corner of the house ... and yes, it will be cut off at ground level and have a top grate

In this shot, the pipe on the left is a stormwater 'pit' and on the right is another sewerage inspection point

The trench has now been backfilled ready for the next stage of the work
