This has to be done so both this and the new slab being laid match up ready for the new tiles covering the entire area

Here is how it looked ...

... and the work gets started !!

A test, using a heavy weight claw hammer, to see how the tiles will come off

No problems !!

More people on the job ... and the use of a jackhammer !! ... and here is Brett setting it up ...

... and away we go !!

Heavy and difficult machine to handle
... but very quick !!

The job is half done

Kahlia looking on ... and you probably noticed her in a couple of the shots above as well ...

... BUT ... she also did her 'time' on the jackhammer !!

Kahlia also suffered a horrific foot injury ...

.

... but kept on working
with her foot hooked in the air !!

Clean up time ... and the apprentice is on the job

FINISHED !!

As you can see, the tiles came away clean ... but the adhesive is still on the slab and this needs to be ground away ...
