took me to see "My Sister's Keeper" for my Birthday
She had read the book ... and cried all the way through it !!
She had then given it to me to read ... and I did the same thing
!!
We both knew we would like the movie !!
After that we strolled down to the Pier
and had a cocktail at one of Tanya's favourite hang outs - the
'Salt House'
I had a fruit cocktail and Tanya had some cocktail that tasted
awful!! ... but she liked it !!
It was a beautiful night and very nice just sitting around catching
up with My Girl !!
The Salt House Bar
and Restaurant at Cairns' Marina Point is the latest addition
to the city's waterfront live music and dining venues
With uninterrupted views of the ocean and Cairns Marina,
the venue has been fast making its mark on the city's entertainment
and restaurant scene since its opening
Owners Lui Garozzo and Fintan Rafferty spent $4 million fitting
out the sophisticated indoor/outdoor bar and restaurant
The venue features a large restaurant area with wood fired grill,
outdoor cocktail bar set amongst flowing ponds
and a cosy main bar with a stage for live entertainment set over
the water
It caters for everything from a casual drink, to breakfasts and
dinners by the water, to special functions
Salt House's entertainment calendar
includes a weekly event specially designed for local musicians,
called Song Space, which runs every Wednesday from 7.00pm
