It is with much pleasure that I write to inform you that you have been selected in the Australian National Team to participate in the 2009 World Baseball Classic

Whilst the team has not been officially finalised as yet, we are informing individual players of their selection as they get confirmed on the team
Once the team is finalised in its entirety, we will make an official announcement and release the team to the public
With a view to providing you with as much advance notice as possible, so that you and the Australian Baseball Federation may plan accordingly, we are informing you of your selection now
We would, however, ask that you keep your selection as confidential as possible, until we make the official team announcement

Attached is the program structure/schedule for the National Team ... below

As you will see, our official training camp begins on the 2nd of March in Phoenix and we will be using the Mariners complex in Peoria, Arizona as our base

As I have informed you previously, prior to the official World Baseball Classic camp beginning, our National Team will be travelling to Osaka, Japan to play a two game Exhibition Series against the Japanese National Team
As you are currently a free agent, we are assuming you are available for Japan also - please confirm this

For your information, the coaching staff for the team is as follows:-

What we need from you now is the following:-
1) Confirmation that you are available for the World Baseball Classic
2) Confirmation that you are available for Japan

There is much to organise between now and the start of the tournament, so I would ask you to kindly keep a regular eye on your email, and get back to us promptly with any information we may require
