Problem:-
In our home, we have what would be classed as normal, everyday type of low pile hardwearing carpet
While using the machine, the front will "dig in" and become almost impossible to push
We found the only way to successfully use the vacuum was to bend down until the handle was almost parallel to the floor, which, as you can imagine, was not "very nice"!!!
Also at times, the carpet will rise and become like a "wave in the ocean" in front of the machine
But the "digging in" is the major aspect of our complaint
As I said to your Telephone Consultant, the machine is not too heavy
Item Required:-
Sharon and I went in to Harvey Normans in Cairns on Saturday
We looked at every machine made by your Company, and have decided on the......DC18 Slim
I understand I will have to pay the difference in price on the two vacuums, plus the $50.00 fee mentioned by your consultant
Exchange Details and Price:-
When the consultant from Dyson rang to organise the delivery of the new machine, she advised that the $50.00 exchange fee was going to be waived ...... maybe there was "something broken" in the machine and the exchange was done under the warranty
So we paid the difference between what we had already paid for the DC14 ($650.00) and the retail price of the DC18 ($900.00) which was $250.00
