Australia wins in a tight defensive Game

In the second game of the 2006 Financial Wealth Baseball Challenge, the Australian Squad was able to record another victory in front of 1,000 spectators at Baseball Park, winning one run to nil

In a complete contrast to the previous night's game, both teams struggled to score runs

It was a game which saw numerous double plays and few hits as the Austrlian and Chinese Taipei teams fought out a tough low-scoring game

Australia recorded 5 hits in the game - from Trent Oeltjen, Brett Roneberg, Tom Brice (single and a double) and Justin Huber

The winning pitcher was Mathew Gahan who threw five innings, facing 18 batters and allowing only 2 hits
