Eddie Money, one of the
most popular names in rock n roll music for nearly thirty
years, will provide the musical entertainment as part of the 2006
Eastern League All-Star Gala at Blair County Ballpark
The Gala event will take place on Tuesday, July 11th with ballpark
gates to open at 5.00pm, while the 2006 UPMC Health Plan Eastern
League All-Star Game will be held on Wednesday night, July 12th
Moneys self-titled debut album was released in 1977 and
featured his breakout hit song Two Tickets to Paradise
Later hits included Baby Hold On, Walk
on Water, Think Im In Love
and Shakin
Money garnered his greatest fame with his 1980s hit Take
Me Home Tonight
Co-sung with Ronnie Spector, Take Me Home Tonight
reached #4 on the Top 40 charts, a very high number for an artist
who debuted nearly a decade earlier
To have a rock n
roll star like Eddie Money in concert at the All-Star Gala Event
is a great thrill and is the perfect compliment to what is going
to be a very unique, fun and entertaining evening at Blair County
Ballpark said Curve General Manager Todd Parnell
The All-Star Gala will be the signature event surrounding the
2006 UPMC Health Plan Eastern League All-Star Game, which will
feature the top players and future major league stars from the
Eastern Leagues twelve teams
In addition to the music of Eddie Money, fans attending the Gala
will enjoy elegant dining in a casual ballpark atmosphere with
hors doeuvres, pasta, seafood, prime rib, vegetables, desserts,
autographs and interaction with All-Star players, coaches and
Eastern League executives and a spectacular fireworks display
to cap the evening
Also, fans will be able to view the 2006 Major League Baseball
All-Star Game from PNC Park in Pittsburgh on Blair County Ballparks
large 1,000 square foot videoboard
To have great musical entertainment from a legend in the
industry, elegant food, fireworks and the opportunity to spend
the evening mingling with future major league star players is
a one-of-a-kind event for our area and one that will be difficult
to duplicate again in the future" said Parnell

the public for $100.00 per person and are currently on sale through
