(#01) During Brett's first at-bat, the commentator mentioned - "Coming in to tonight's game, Brett was third in the Eastern League with a batting average of 314 ...... he is actually in second place because Adam Boeve, who is listed in that spot, is now playing for Indiamapolis in the 'AAA' League"
Email from Brett

(6-3), the Altoona Curve defeated the New Hampshire Fisher Cats,
3-0, Friday evening at Merchants Auto.com Stadium
Connolly only allowed two hits through seven innings, striking
out six and walking two
The lefty had a no-hitter going until Fisher Cat DH Curtis Thigpen
singled to left with two outs in the sixth inning
The Curve jumped on top with a first inning run courtesy of a
Simon Pond double to center, scoring Vic Buttler from second base
Pond would later score in the sixth inning after a Ray Sadler
triple
Fisher Cat starter Davis Romero (6-5) picked up the loss, but
pitched well through six innings
The southpaw limited the Curve to five hits, striking out nine
while walking two
Brett Roneberg, who
currently ranks third in the Eastern League in batting average,
drove in Brandon Chaves with a ninth inning, two out single to
center
The insurance run wouldn't matter however as Brandon Knight shut
the Fisher Cats down in the ninth to pick up his eight save
The game was Altoonas first since Tuesday after their last
two games in Portland were postponed due to rain
Since those two teams do not have any remaining game scheduled,
the games will not be rescheduled
As a result, the Curve will finish with a total of 140 games
played, as opposed to the 142 which were originally scheduled
The Curve and Fisher Cats continue their three game series tomorrow
at 5.05pm
Shane Youman will be on the hill for Altoona against Ismael Ramirez
Altoona is in the middle of a stretch in which the club is playing
fourteen of seventeen games on the road
The Curve, who own the Eastern Leagues best home record
at 22-9, return to Blair County Ballpark on Tuesday June 13 for
a three-game series against Harrisburg

saddled with the loss

lined a single to left field with two outs in the sixth inning
The only other hit Connolly allowed came in the third, when Eric
Arnold hit a blooper that deflected off second baseman Craig Stansberrys
glove and landed in shallow right field
The play originally was scored an error on Stansberry, but later
was changed to a hit after Connolly surrendered the single to
Thigpen
