 OF Brett Roneberg (Cairns QLD) has had at least one hit in each of the eight games he has played this season for Pittsburgh’s Double-A Altoona affiliate
Through 3 May he’s batting .395 with six RBI and two homeruns



Thursday 4th May 2006

 Two of Altoona's six hits came from Brett Roneberg, who extended his hitting streak to nine games
The 27-year old Australian native, who joined the club last Monday from Pirates' extended spring training, has hit safely in each game he's appeared in with the Curve

Brett Roneberg went 2-for-3 for the Curve to extend his hitting streak to nine games
He’s 7-for-9 over the past two contests



Friday 5th May 2006

 The Curve put together three straight hits to begin the first innings and finished by scoring four runs
Brett Roneberg extended his hitting streak to ten games with a single that scored Javier Guzman



Saturday 6th May 2006

 Brett Roneberg extended his consecutive games hitting streak to eleven games, the longest such streak for the Curve this year



Sunday 7th May 2006

 Altoona's Brett Roneberg continued his hot hitting, going 2-for-3 with an RBI to push his hitting streak to twelve games

Brett Roneberg remained hot at the plate for the Curve, going 2-for-3, a walk and an RBI to extend his hitting streak to twelve games
He raised his average to .407



Monday 8th May 2006

Brett Roneberg extended his consecutive games hit streak to thirteen with a single in the fourth inning

Brett Roneberg also provided a bright spot with a single in the fourth inning that extended his hitting streak to thirteen games

 

Roneberg's hit streak reaches thirteen games
Brett Roneberg has hit safely in each of his 13 games since joining the Curve on April 24
The 27-year-old Australian native is tied for 8th on the Curve’s all-time consecutive hit chart
The record was set in 2002 by Kevin Sefcik who hit in 21 consecutive games
Roneberg joined the squad in April after spending a few weeks in extended spring training with the Pirates suffering from an injured back, and has carried a hot bat ever since
Since his return, Roneberg is batting .404 with two home runs and eight RBI’s
Last week in Erie, Roneberg had the seventh five-hit game in Curve history, going 5-6 with three runs scored
Splitting time between left field and first base, he extended his streak Monday night in the loss against Harrisburg with a fourth inning leadoff single to left
Roneberg later scored the Curve’s only run of the game in the ninth
His 13-game hit streak is the longest of any Curve player this season
Roneberg's next chance to extend his streak comes Tuesday night at Harrisburg at 6.05pm



Tuesday 9th May 2006

 Brett Roneberg’s season-high thirteen game hitting streak came to an end on Tuesday
The first baseman finished the game 0-for-4 with a strikeout

Altoona’s Brett Roneberg went 0-for-4 and saw his thirteen game hitting streak snapped

"It was a great team effort" said Harrisburg Senators' pitcher Kip Bouknight, who retired fourteen straight at one point and snared a certain Brett Roneberg single in the sixth
Roneberg was 0-for-4, snapping the Curve left fielder's thirteen game hit streak

 After an error by Senator first-baseman Josh Whitesell, which should have been an inning ending double play, Brett Roneberg drove in Brandon Chaves from second base with an RBI single to leftfield
The single extended Roneberg’s current hitting streak to a team high six games
He finished 2-for-4 on the night
