Travel and Tournament Information

Luggage
Baggage limits going from Australia to Amsterdam are very small
Each individual is allowed only 20kg each (plus a carry on of course) so pack light
You will be given all your training and playing apparel in Amsterdam, so you will only need casual clothes

Travel Shirt
You will be distributed with a travel shirt to wear to any necessary team functions etc
Whilst you don't really need to wear it into Bangkok, I think it would be good to wear it onto the flight from Bangkok to Amsterdam (will help you get recognised at the airport as well)
I'll leave it up to Jon and David

Airport Transfer
You will all be be met at the Amsterdam airport by representatives of the Local Organising Committee and transferred directly to the hotel

Accommodation, Meals and Per diems
Your accommodation and meals will be provided and you will be paid a daily per diem of $30 whilst away with the team
We will initially pay you up to the 14th of September, as this is the end of the qualifying round
If the team progresses past the qualifying round, we will make the further appropriate payments then

Footwear
As those of you who have been in our national team before should know, we are sponsored by Mizuno, and as such, every member of the team usually gets distributed with a new pair of cleats and sneakers
Given the enormous amount of equipment, clothes, and uniforms we need to take to Amsterdam, it is unlikely we are going to be taking any shoes with us to Amsterdam
We still want to give you your shoes, but we'll have to work on an IOU system, where by next time you're in Australia, we'll get you your shoes
A large majority of you have been in several national teams over the last two years anyway, and should have plenty of Mizuno shoes
It is our preference that you do wear Mizuno during the tournament if you have them, but understand if you don't

Equipment and Apparel
We will have plenty of wood mizuno bats, helmets, catching gear for you to use at the World Cup
You will of course just need your personal items (glove, shoes etc)
You will also be provided with all your playing and training uniforms and apparel
We will supply you with two pairs of plain white pants to use for the tournament, but in the event that we don't have a pair that you feel comfortable in, it's always safe to bring a pair with you (must be plain white)

Tickets
We have beeen informed by the Organising Committee, that we will be allocated with up to thirty tickets per game that we play in for team friends and family
If you are expecting friends and family to be in Holland for the tournament, be sure to liaise with team Executive Officer David Nagy who wiil in turn organise the tickets through our dedicated Team Liaison Officer

Passport
I am assuming that all your passports are up to date and still have at least six months on them before they are due to expire
David Nagy will also need these from you when you get to Amsterdam, as he will have to take them to the Technical Committee to confirm your Australian citizenship
