2000 Olympic silver sixteen coin set FDC (Proof) - in jarrah case with individual Certificate of Authenticity - the silver coin collection was issued by the Perth Mint, in a joint program with the Royal Australian Mint in Canberra, over a two and a half year period between October 1997 and May 2000 - the collection comprises a total of sixteen coins, divided into two design series of eight coins - one series adopts the themes of the four Olympic Arts Festivals staged in the lead up to the Games, celebrating the story of Australia's cultural and social development - the second series features Australian fauna and flora, a record of the nation's rich and fascinating heritage - the coins in the collection are individually encapsulated, and in a hinged lid jarrah presentation case - each coin is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity
