The 2003 Brisbane "Festival of Baseball"

Home Run Derby - Thursday 18th December
This was contested between the Queensland Rams and the New South Wales Patriots,
and each State was represented by three players
The team from Queensland was Brett, Ben Foster and Ben Utting
In the first round Brett hit 2 homers from his 10 swings, and advanced to the next round - along with Ben Foster
In the second round, Brett picked up another homer, but was beaten by Ben Foster
Ben and the Patriots player, Brendan Kingman, fought out the third round
with victory going to Brendan

a strike out
Queensland lost the final game 6 runs to 4
