We are delighted that you are able to accept our invitation to the AFL Grand Final on Saturday 25th September 2004 and confirm the following arrangements:-

(1) At 11.45am we ask that all medallists meet in the Bridge Room at the Holiday Inn Melbourne (1-5 Spencer Street Melbourne)
The group will then be transferred to the MCG via bus

(2) Upon arrival at the MCG you will then be part of an on-field tribute prior to the game
Once this on-field tribute is completed you will then be escorted to your VIP reserved seating to view the match

(3) At half-time and post match you will be invited to enter the AFL Official Function for refreshments

(4) At approximately 6.30pm you will be transferred back to the Holiday Inn Melbourne by bus

(5) We ask that you wear your Australian FORMAL Olympic uniform from the Athens Games and display your medal(s) during the tribute

(6) Ticketing to enter the MCG and the AFL Official Function will be provided on the day

(7) Confirmation of all travel and accommodation details will be forwarded to you directly from AFL Travel (contact Catherine 03 9650 9650)

Flight and accommodation costs including breakfast will be met by the AFL

NOTE
In addition to the above arrangements we also, on behalf of the Kangaroos Football Club, have much pleasure extending an invitation for you to attend the officially endorsed AFL event, "The AXA Grand Final Breakfast" which will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre (next to team hotel) commencing at 7.00am for 7.15am
This famous event is 40 years old and has become a traditional part of AFL Grand Final day and is televised by the Ten Network and attended by the who's who of sport, entertainment, politics and culture
There will be an official presentation to the Olympians by the Prime Minister of Australia, The Honourable John Howard on the morning
