Dear Player.

Now that the reality of the Silver Medal achievement is sinking in, and most of you have returned home for summer, it is a good time to offer congratulations to each of you for such a truly great result for Australian baseball.

From the T-ball coach on up the ladder, all of Australian baseball is proud of each of you.

We are keen to ensure that this effort can be captured to better benefit the baseball’s future.
Currently we are working on the possibility of a
“Silver Medal Tour” of some description after the Claxton Shield in 2005.

The dates of the Claxton Shield are 22nd to 29th January.
If we get the backing for a tour, it would take place in early February on the back of the Claxton Shield from around the 1st to the 10th.

Can you please let Brett (brett.pickett@baseball.org.au) know at your earliest convenience if you are able to make your self available for this program?

For professional players, we will ensure the program compliments your preparation for spring training.

Again, well done to each of you - it may be that none of us fully realise yet the significance of this achievement.
There is no question however that you have created Australian baseball’s finest hour to date!

Kind regards,
Don Knapp
Acting CEO
